Message From Alice Armstrong, Director
HI my name is Alice Armstrong. I am the Director of Atlantic City Day Nursery. I am very excited to be part of such a fascinating program that has a long history of providing quality care to the Atlantic City Community.
As Director of ACDN, I enjoy spending time in the classrooms watching the children learn and grow. It always puts a smile on my face to see the excitement when a child has mastered a task and is eager to share his/her accomplishments with others!
I have been in the education field for over 32 years spending the last 21 as Director of Early Childhood Education. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a minor in Special Education from Wagner College and hold a Master’s degree from St. John’s University in Education and Reading. I have taught in the classrooms at various age levels in NY, VA, and NJ, and spent 3 years as an Adjunct Professor at Brookdale Community College teaching Early Childhood Education.
I have dedicated my whole life to working with children because it is what I love to do! I firmly believe that all children can learn when given the opportunities and as an early childcare educator it is up to me to empower the children with the tools they need to develop their own identity and the personal strength to achieve their goals and become the individuals they set out to be!
I am married to my husband Lance, and have 3 children Rachel, Catherine and Lance Matthew. When I am not working I enjoy watching my son play soccer in college, shopping with my daughters and beating my husband at scrabble!
